5 reasons why
agar.io players have been quiting in the past couple months (to name a few)

1.)
The recent update that changed graphics of the game. (Before 2017
agar.io had simple graphics that were more appealing to people to look at and play with. Those 2 years were when people loved the game; but in 2017 a major update turned the game upside down which caused more than half of
agar.io players world wide to quit.)

2.)
The Skins simply suck! (Player are always tired of the same repetitive skins that Miniclip has been adding to the game. Most of them are child like and have a kiddish nature to them. Not to mention you have to but skins that cost to much and other skins get removed every couple months which pisses the hell out of people.)

3.)
No new game modes... (It's common for most games to add new powerups, levels, or game modes. But on the other hand, Miniclip has refused to add a single new game mode to the
agar.io to make it more fun and attract people to the game. To be exact it's been over 2 years and they never added a single mode to this point on!)

4.)
The game is unfair for players. (If you're a true
agar.io player, meaning you know what i'm about to say, then you would know the game is very hard or annoying to play. In FFA mode players always team and ruin the oppertunity for players to play solo. This also means players playing solo on FFA lose more mass because of teamers who activate anti teaming when they grow faster on a wrong gamemode. Also players have became more savage with teaming on party modes which gives solo players or newbies no oppertunity to play the game fairly. Fun fact: An average player lasts 20 seconds to a minute playing solo on any server.)

5.)
Lastly, Miniclip is lazy and they always remove bots and extensions :( (Sorry Minicplip, this one's for you.. Minicplip has removed bots and extensions from the game; those things practically made the game the most exciting part about it in the past year or 2. But later on they patched bots, which made everyone sad, and they removed extensions, which was used for making the game easier to use but is gone now. The main reason why everyone is quitting is because Miniclip won't take action or change anything for the game. All they really care about is advertising the game for mobile, which wont bring anyone back, and they want the money. "If Miniclip doesn't care, then why should we? It's only a matter of time before all youtubers and players will quit the game for good. After that what will ya do lazy Moneyclipper"

Agar.io!

I am a devoted
agar.io player who plays this game since the beginning and I have some things to say from this kind of person's point of view (oldschool player's point of view):

About 1: Graphics before 2017 sucked big time, they were ugly and I eagerly waited for an improvement on this field, why having something worse when you can have it looking nicer?

About 2: Some skins suck, but some are amazing, the ones that look scary and original, this is a nice development actually

About 3: Why would you need a new game mode if the only gamemode worth playing is Party Mode, there's nothing better about this game than the beauty of professional skilled teaming, sadly most players abuse w, while 100% split is so much more pro, but that's not the point here.

About 4: Noone gives a damn about FFA, this is only for Daily Quests I guess if anyone bothers. This game is all about teaming, wanting to play a massive multiplayer solo is just dumb, it was designed to be able to play in cooperation with others vs others.

About 5: Bots and extensions were / are the worst thing that could happen to this game, I can't imagine greater abomination and disgrace to the skill of a really pro player than relying on easy help and cheats to enhance the gameplay that is supposed to be harder than that. What's the point of extensions? To tell you when can you split or see more of the map? This is for noobs who claim to be pros, as the beauty of this game and true skill is to be able to estimate everything yourself without shitty zooms and all other kiddy cheats.

I guess I am alone or one of the very few with my opinion here, but I think I'm just too old for this stuff, most of the users are just silly kids.

The original composer of the article you quoted was gearing towards a valid point in which you didn't grasp. No one really cares that you were/are an OG "devoted"
agar.io player. There are players entirely much more skilled than an anonymous user pivoting opinionated statements like you. So here are a few add-on's to point out from my point of view to yours:

1.) Graphics before 2017 were not vaguely bad looking or didn't "suck" - this is completely opinion based and should not be criticized to generalize why you apposed that.

2.) during 2015-16, skins were seldom and the newest editions to them were pixel based. So we can all agree most of them did not improve the game or cause people to quit as mentioned by the previous users.

3.) Quoting "Why would you need a new game mode if the only gamemode worth playing is Party Mode" The simplistic answer is 'many' people were awaiting a separate gamemode. Not all players were gracefully skilled and discovered the game formlessly. For someone to blatantly categorize a single team mode (Party) as most 'enjoyable' or played, that's awfully stupid.

4.) People played FFA, so rarely, so I could only partially agree on this observation. Still, nevertheless it's not plessent to judge it.

5.)
